In Time Analysis

·        Firstly you notice there is a form of relationship between the characters upon the poster; this implies they are the main protagonists in the film.

·        Although the dark and cold colouring to the whole image could mean there is a twist to the story.

·        The style and font remains continuous over the whole poster but the font styles varies depending on the importance of the text. For example, the name of the film is the first text that catches your eye and then you pick up on the famous actors who feature in the film and then the rest of the text is in small print at the bottom of the page.

·        Having the main actors/characters names featured on the poster informs the audience and draws them in to watch the film. Having the name directly underneath the character on the poster allows the audience to have a depth into the film before viewing.

·        You also notice that the female in the poster is actually holding a gun in her right hand which in then resting upon the male’s chest, implying she is independent and has a defence line towards him.

·        The gun also catches your eyes because of the shine that is captured from it meaning there is a of money involved due to the material it is made from and usual when something is well looked after there is a value to it also it fits in with the futuristic or sci-fiction film.

·        Despite the slight dominance change portrayed in the poster the male still remains control as he is the one looking down on her as she looks up straight at him. He is also shown to be clasping the right had side of her face which could either mean he is cradling her head romantically or having a firm cup around her face so she has to look up to him.

·        As the male clasps the face of the female he manages to reveal an interest code of number upon him arm which glows green, this gives off the impression that it is a futuristic or sci-fiction film. The luminous greens also manages to flow onto the last letter of the name of the film and the date of release date is shown in the colour this allows us to pick up on the film of the film before we view and allows us to have more of an understanding of what they wish to portray in the image.

·        If you look past the foreground image and into the background you come across a misted over city, which then also implies to us as the audience that there is a mystery and darkness to this film as nothing about the image give across the impression of happiness and joy.

·        Also the clothing they are both when and their overall appearance looks smart due to it being black and general dark colours. It also manages to given a hard, hidden and depression image. And the darkness around both the faces could mean despite the love between then there is unhappiness.

·        Having the text at the bottom of the pages means at first looks the audience’s eyes aren’t drawn away from the image at all and they have to study the whole poster before being informed the more detailed information. Also having the text at the bottom meant the white contrasted well with the black/dark background allowing the text to stand out well as well as the luminous green.
